Camp Sparta is located in Sebring Florida! It is a quaint little camp that is held for summer camps, kid camps, and high school retreats. The Master's Academy owns Camp Sparta. This is the reason we hold our high school and teacher retreats. The teachers from masters have their retreat a few weeks before school starts. This is a bonding experience so the teachers can grow closer and bond as co workers. The high schoolers attend Camp Sparta the second week of school. The seniors/juniors go on Monday and stay until Tuesday afternoon. The sophomore/freshmen arrive on Tuesday and leave Wednesday afternoon. on these few days that the high schoolers have together they do many group activities to help bond them together. The higschoolers play a group of bonding games. They are also allowed to enjoy free time in the rec center and at the lake. There is a blob, tubing, and boating! The kids also have a bonfire the night they arrive at camp Sparta. There are also summer camps offered at Camp Sparta and well they are offered in the summer of course! The are crafts and many fun activities offered for the kids who choose to attend summer at Camp Sparta! TMA is what?! RED HOT!
The Master's Academy is a superior school. The Master's Academy offers a vast majority of different classes that you can take. We offer Ap courses which could, count as college credit if you pass the AP exam. We also offer many honors courses and regular classes that help prepare you for college. Our school offers dual enrollment with specific college such as west palm beach Atlantic and Seminole state college. This also offers college credit for high school classes. The goal at the Master's Academy is for your student to succeed in everything he or she does. Our teachers are well equipped and they also seek the best interest for their students. The teachers at the Academy want to help their students because they want to prepare them. The Master' s Academy however is drastically different from a public school. Public schools are much larger than the Master's Academy. Our school is a private school and requires tuition. Where a public school is free. For instance since our school is so smaller which is why we are able to take a high school retreat! We go every year to a place called Camp Sparta. It is broken up by grades. For instance the freshmen and the sophomores go together, and juniors and seniors go together. The purpose of this retreat Is to help the grades strengthen their relationships with one another and help people reach out to new people. The juniors and seniors are divided into teams. There are many team bonding activities among all the teams. So as you can see the Master's Academy has a different feel from any other school. See? That's a good thing! We are unique and offer many opportunities for your child to prosper. We have the best interest in your student!
The Circle of Friendship!
The purpose of koinania is to strengthen the middle school students together as a class. In koinania groups meet every Wednesday. In these groups the kids play bonding games to help build their unity as a class.
Koinania groups are a vital part of the middle school experience. Students really enjoy going to koinania and enjoy strengthening their friendships with fellow classmates.
The kids play games every wednesday throughout the year. The purpose of these games is to help the kids come out of their comfort zone and meet new people. By playing these games it really helps them become more comfortable with themselves and the kids in their grade. Koinania is about intermixing the middle schoolers. They try to get kids out of their normal cliques and try to help them meet new people.
In koinania the kids have theme shirts. This represents the different groups. Each year it is always something different. The groups are either divided by different colors, superheroes, etc. In a way you could say these groups are kind of like the houses in Harry potter. The groups compete against each other for points. Whenever one team wins a game they get points for their team in the race to win.
The winning team's prize is a trip to blizzard beach! This is the prize that the kids work for all year. All the kids want to win this trip which makes the competition harder and more complicated to win. Which is how competition should be! Competition shouldn't be easy it should be a challenge, this is also something that koinania teaches the kids. It's all about teamwork and winning will be a challenge but you have to push through and work as a team if you really want to win the big prize.
